#52weeksofhappiness- Week 6

Hello there! This week I have enjoyed being able to relax back in Sheffield. It is so quiet here as most people have left for the summer! I cannot believe that it has nearly been a week since I came back off my holiday. For my #52weeksofhappiness this week I am grateful for having the time to appreciate being in Sheffield. On Wednesday Phoebe, Katie and I went for a little picnic in the botanical gardens and we then went for a walk. Whilst we were walking through a wooded area I saw a white schnauzer! It was so cute but sadly it didn't come up to me to say hello.

I really enjoyed exploring other areas of Sheffield that I didn't even realise existed (thank you Phoebe!). This week I am looking forward to getting the keys to our new house! I still can't believe that I'm moving out of Halls soon, this year has gone so quickly.

What made you happy this week?

#52weeksofhappiness- Week 5

Hello! This week I am going to be cheeky and have two #52weeksofhappiness, with this one being about last week and my post on Saturday being about this week!
As you may or may not know, last week I went on holiday. I will be doing a blogpost dedicated to this in the near future, where I will talk about what we did etc. However for my week 5 of #52weeksofhappiness I am grateful for having the opportunity to travel to somewhere that I had never been before and see a different way of living. As it was just Tom and I that went, I'm proud of the fact that I actually remembered to book everything and take everything that we needed with us. I was so worried that I would get to the airport and realise that I had forgotten something! I definitely feel more confident about travelling without my parents as I proved to myself that I could actually do it.

A little preview of what is to come next week!

#52weeksofhappiness- Week 4

Blimey how is it week 4 already?! I cannot believe that this blog has now been up and running for that long. This week has been a busy one; I returned to Sheffield on Saturday, went to Shakespeare in the Park on Sunday with Reesha, and have been trying to pack everything for my holiday and trying not to forget anything! Yesterday was the Summer Social at the Union which was filled with free popcorn, crazy golf, and then to top it off a final night at Pop Tarts. (Pop Tarts is a club night at the Union where they play all the cheesy classics such as S Club and Busted!). I have also been roped into watching the world cup, and I am off to watch England later down at BarOne. For my #52weeksofhappiness this week I have reflected back upon the range of opportunities that I have had over the past year or so. I used to be someone who would automatically say no if something was suggested that was out of my comfort zone. I then decided one day to say 'yes' to more things, and I am really thankful that I have. Had I not, I would not have had the same experiences up to date! If you are someone who says no a lot, have a go at saying yes more. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but by saying yes to small things can make a big difference.

This is a little snap I took from Shakespeare in the Park on Sunday.

I will be taking a break from blogging next week as I shall not be in the country! But I hope you all have a great week with whatever you do :)

A Trip to Southwold

Last week (I can't believe it has already been a week!) Mum, Dad, Grandad and I took a little trip out to visit Southwold. Following on from my last post, it was lovely to go out to places like the beach that I am unable to visit whilst in Sheffield. We had a walk through the town and it was sooo quiet compared to the busy city streets!
We stopped at a lovely little cafe and it was actually warm enough to sit outside in the sunshine! I had my usual order of a cappuccino and it came with a chocolate filled wafer! ( I may have had my Mum's one too!)

#52weeksofhappiness- Week 3

This week I have been at home for a few days which has been lovely. For the first time since starting university my train home was actually on time! I think that is the fifth time that I have come home and the first time without it being delayed. The curse is finally over! For my #52weeksofhappiness this week I am thankful for having two homes. Not only do I have my home back in Suffolk but I also have my home in Sheffield. Travelling from one to the other is something that I look forward to as each place has different things on offer. For example being at home this week I have been able to enjoy the home comforts of having food cooked for me and being able to have a double bed rather than being cramped in a single. I've also been able to spend a lot of time with my mum, dad and grandad on days out visiting places such as the beach that I cannot visit whilst in Sheffield. I will be sad to leave home tomorrow (especially Tilly!) but I'm looking forward to seeing my flatmates/Tom/my friends in general and spend time with them before we all finish next Saturday. I have various things planned for next week such as Shakespeare in the Park on Sunday with Reesha, catching up and watching films with Megan and then the big Summer Social on Friday to round it all off. I am then off on holiday on the Sunday hooray! (I am beyond excited!!)

What made you happy this week?

A Trip out to Hope Valley

On Friday Tom, Luke, Jacob, Will and I went out on the train from Sheffield to Hope Valley. Although cloudy the rain managed to stay away and we had a lovely day. I took a few photos which I would like to share with you. I love that although living in a city, you can escape out into the glorious countryside within a half an hour train ride.
